Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 July 2026
Welcome to SmartBill. SmartBill is a service provided by Tazlo Technologies ("Tazlo", "we", "us"). These terms explain, in simple language, what you agree to when you use our service. By creating an account or using SmartBill, you accept these terms.
1. What SmartBill is
SmartBill is billing software for restaurants, built and operated by Tazlo Technologies. It helps you take orders, print bills, send receipts on WhatsApp, manage your menu and inventory, and see reports about your business. SmartBill is a software service — we are not a party to any sale between you and your customers.
2. Pricing — subscription and WhatsApp credits
SmartBill has two parts to its pricing: a monthly subscription for platform access, and optional WhatsApp credits.
- Subscription: ₹800 per month. This unlocks unlimited billing — Quick Bill, dine-in tables, kitchen display, KOT printing, reports, and inventory. There are no per-bill charges.
- WhatsApp credits: ₹1.5 each (1 credit = 1 message). Credits are used only when you send a bill to a customer on WhatsApp. If you run out of credits, your billing keeps working — only WhatsApp sending is paused. See the pricing page for the current credit packs.
- 14-day free trial: every new restaurant gets 14 days of full billing plus 50 free WhatsApp credits when it signs up. No card is needed to start.
- Payments are made offline directly to Tazlo (cash, UPI, or bank transfer).
- Credits never expire.
- When your subscription expires, billing is paused until you renew. Contact Tazlo to renew and we will reactivate your account.
We may change the subscription price or credit-pack prices from time to time. A price change never affects a subscription period or credits you have already paid for.
3. Refunds
- The subscription is non-refundable once a monthly period has started.
- Used WhatsApp credits are not refundable. Once a credit has been spent on a message, it cannot be returned.
- Refunds for unused WhatsApp credits may be given at our discretion. Contact us and we will review your request.
4. Your data belongs to you
Your restaurant's data — your menu, bills, customers, and reports — belongs to you. We process this data only to provide the service to you (for example, to generate your bills, send WhatsApp receipts, and build your reports). See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle data.
5. Service is provided "as is"
We work hard to keep SmartBill fast and available, but we provide the service "as is", without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for business losses — such as lost sales or lost profits — caused by downtime, errors, or interruptions of the service. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the current subscription month.
6. GST and taxes are your responsibility
SmartBill helps you generate GST-ready bills and reports, but you are responsible for the accuracy of your own tax settings (like GST rates on menu items) and for filing your GST returns correctly and on time. SmartBill is a tool, not a tax advisor.
7. Fair use and suspension
We may suspend or close accounts that misuse the service — for example, using it for anything illegal, trying to break or overload the system, abusing WhatsApp messaging, or attempting to access another restaurant's data. Where reasonable, we will contact you before suspending your account.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make an important change, we will let you know — for example, with a notice inside the app. Continuing to use SmartBill after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of India.
